Sun Valley Fishing Update, Silver Creek is fishing well

Well, The Regular fishing season is open.
As far as the rivers go, high water is keeping most of the fishing is very tough. However Silver Creek, is clear, beautiful and fishing well. The fish here is Silver Creek were dumb for about 3 days,,, LOL ! Then they went back to their old habit of being snooty, smart, picky and generally driving you crazy. With that being said there are many nice fish being caught. We will have several video updates with local guide Paddy McIlvoy, and Sun Valley TV host Brad Kane forth coming. PMD’s are the hatch bug of the moment, fished dry with a dropper nymph, PMD nymph, emerger or sometimes a small Pheasant Tail ( 18 20 size ) it seems like the fish are taking midges below the surface and PMD’s on top.
Ive caught many fish and a few very nice 17 to 20 inch types. The fish look great, no more beautiful fish anywhere than these.
Easy time also, arrive on the creek about 10 am and stay till the hatch dies about 1:00 to 2:00 PM,
Remember, be patient, slow, stay low, and wait. Get close to a good fish, make your best cast,(downstream straight, dead drift) and keep after it. You can be proud of any large fish you catch in Silver Creek. This world class wild trout fishery pays you to practice all your best skills. I would totally recommend a guide for your first few days there. The time saved, is priceless, the lessons learned will last a lifetime. Spring creeks are a great test, “Get a Tutor” or a Coach, these men and women live in these waters and have the daily exposure to put you into fish.

Best, Brad
